The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of William McCannell can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

McCannell, William Gordon “Bill”
Peacefully at Markdale Hospital on Friday, July 6, 2018, a week before his 90th birthday. Devoted husband of the late Shirley Jean McAlpine. Loving father of Clair McCannell (Sandra Wallace) and special uncle of Steve McAlpine. Proud grandfather of Clark McCannell, Jessica Davenport (Aaron), Scott McCannell, Morgan McCannell, Hayley McCannell and great-grandfather of Rose, Ella and Charlie Davenport.
At Bill’s request, there will be no service. A Celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, July 29, 2018 from 6-9 p.m. at the Frank McIntyre building, 220 Owen Sound Street, Dundalk. Arrangements entrusted to McMillan & Jack Funeral Home, Dundalk. If desired, donations to the Dundalk Food Bank would be appreciated.
