Passed away at his home in Holland Centre on Thursday, February 11, 2021 in his 85th year. Beloved husband of the late Josephine and the late Dorothy. Loving father of Richard Cook (the late Sheila) of Holland Centre, Cindy (Tom) Thompson of Durham and Vicky (Andy) Strathy of Holland Centre. Devoted grandfather of Tracie Bennett, Sean Zhang-Smith (Carrie), Rob (Mandy) Smith, Devin (Laura) Thompson, Travis (Caroline) Thompson, Tyler (Tina) Thompson, Joe Strathy, Maggie (Rob) Schram, Amy Strathy (Scott) and Beth (Josh) Muzika. Great-grandfather of Hunter, Parker, Joshua, Chloe, Savannah, D.J., William, Nichole, Hailey, Mason, Allie, Scarlet, Oakley, Ashleigh, Lilly, Dillion, Brianna, Hailey and Abby. Special step-father of Greg (Suzanne) Moore and Tracey Moore (Lenroy). Step-grandfather of Alison, Avery, Megan, Tyler, Javon, Jaila. Dear brother of Marion Irwin, Margaret Aitken, Reta Thompson, Sharon Fortune and Debbie Holmes. Predeceased by his brothers Lloyd, Allen and Glen and his sisters Bernice Long, Shirley Lambert, Kathleen Demmans and Lorraine Rennick. He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews.
