Passed away peacefully with family by her side on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at the age of 88. Beloved wife of William J. Jackson. Loving mother of Paul Jackson and Mark Jackson. Cherished grandmother of Carly Ann (Matthew) Fontes, Amanda (Derrick) Ricci, Matthew Jackson, Cory Jackson, Tara (Scott) Jackson-Kiyonaga and great-grandmother of Tiago Fontes, Avening Ricci, Aria Fontes, Liam Ricci and Camila Ann Fontes. Dear sister of Mary Slaght. She will be lovingly remembered by the mothers of her grandchildren Ainsley Jackson and Jane Jackson and by her extended family and friends.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to everyone at the Avalon Care Centre for the excellent care and love Shirley received.
A Celebration of Life will held at the Shelburne Legion – Museum Room, 203 William Street, Shelburne (side entrance, parking around back) on Sunday, November 6, 2022 from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. If desired, donations to Michael House would be appreciated. Funeral arrangements entrusted to McMillan & Jack Funeral Home, 291 Main Street East, Dundalk.
