Filipcic, Sharon Ann
Passed away peacefully at Markdale Hospital with family by her side on Saturday, September 30th in her 77th year. Beloved wife of Ivan for 51 years. Loving mother of Tanya (Ian Wilson). A member of a large family, she will be missed by siblings Helen, Gary, Ken and Melvin, predeceased by Freda, Mavis and Everett. Sharon will be lovingly remembered by the Taylor, Boreham, Filipcic and Hughes family and many friends.
Born in Quebec, Sharon moved to Ontario where she met her future husband Ivan in 1968. Sharon and Ivan purchased a plot of land where they would build the farmhouse where they would raise Tanya and live for the past 42 years. Retired from her career as a data entry clerk, Sharon and Ivan shared many great farm adventures caring for the various animals they raised, especially the small herd of cattle that was their pride and joy. Sharon was happiest when hosting her family and friends for dinner and long conversations in front of the fireplace.
Friends and family will be received at the McMillan & Jack Funeral Home, 291 Main Street East, Dundalk on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m.
Cremation to follow. If desired, please donate to the Grey Bruce Health Services or the Canadian Cancer Society as an expression of sympathy.
