Obituary for Karl Heinrich Chittka
CHITTKA, Karl Heinrich
Karl passed away peacefully at Markdale Hospital on Tuesday, June 25, 2019, in his 87th year after a very happy and fulfilling life. Karl’s greatest passion in life was his family. He was a devoted husband to Lisa (2002) whom he cherished; dedicated father of Robert (Te André) and Michael (1989) both of whom he adored; and caring grandfather of Andrew, Brian, and Becky, all of whom he loved deeply.
A man with a strong work ethic and even stronger conviction, he will be fondly remembered by his family, as well as those who knew him from his advocacy on behalf of farmers, both in local politics and through the Egremont Proton Federation and Grey County Federation of Agriculture. He will also be remembered for his volunteer work with the Home and Community Support Services of Grey Bruce and local public speaking events for youths.
At Karl’s request he will be reunited with his sweetheart Lisa in a private ceremony. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Egremont Proton Federation of Agriculture or Dundalk Agricultural Society would be appreciated.
