Passed away suddenly at her home in Owen Sound on Wednesday, February 7, 2024 at the age of 56. Karen is survived by her children Charles Palmer, Ashley (Trevor Mader) and Rebecca ( Ryan Vandenbogaard); her grandchildren Scarlett Mader, Lilianah Mader, Reuben Vandenbogaard, Micah Vandenbogaard and Silas Vandenbogaard; sister Margaret (Floyd McLaren); brother Mark Ferris; niece Holly Trudgeon and nephew Ian McLaren. Predeceased by her parents Lyle and Anna Maria (Vanderstelt) Ferris.
Friends and family will be received at the McMillan & Jack Funeral Home, Dundalk on Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 1-2 p.m. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 p.m. Karen will be interred with her parents at Dundalk Maple Grove Cemetery in the spring.
