It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to our loving mom, grandma June, G.G., sister and friend, June Louise Wilson (Acheson) passed away peacefully in her 91st year with her loving family by her side on December 1, 2022 at Grey Bruce Health Services, Markdale.
June has been reunited with her husband Elwin and her daughters Cathy Wilson and Nancy Keating.
Leaving to mourn her passing are her children Lisa (Ivan) Langeraap of Tara, Philip (Debbie) Wilson and son-in-law Larry Keating both of Dundalk. She was adored by grandchildren Kerry Keating (Rob), Jonathon Keating (Kayla), Ginelle MacDougall (Herb), Brianne Langeraap (Casey), Lindsey Komorowski (Julie), Brittany LeMoine (Jake) and Robert Wilson. She will be missed by her great-grandchildren Cate and Kennedy Ireton, Rorey, Jack, Colt and Hunter Keating, Julia and Hanna MacDougall, Emma and Isabelle June Harvie.
June leaves behind her sister Doreen Porter, her brother James (Alice) Acheson and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents Stanley and Olive Acheson, brother Lorne Acheson, sisters Lucille Dolmer, Erma Johnston, an infant brother Glen Acheson, brothers-in-law John Dolmer, Veryal Johnston, Dr.Tom Porter, Mervyn and Everett Wilson and sisters-in-law Roma Acheson, Leona and Venetta Wilson.
The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff at Markdale Hospital as well as her special nurse practitioner Stephanie Orr at South East Grey Community Services for their excellent and compassionate care of mom.
Friends and family will be received at the McMillan & Jack Funeral Home, 291 Main Street East, Dundalk on Saturday, from 2:00 p.m.–6:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held at the Dundalk United Church, 200 Main Street East, Dundalk on Sunday, December 4, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. ***Masks are strongly recommended*** Interment at Bethel Cemetery. If desired, donations to the Dundalk United Church or the Dundalk Food Bank would be appreciated.
