Julia Dora Mae Thrasher of Markdale passed away suddenly on June 9th, 2023, at the young age of 48. Julia is the proud mother to her two beautiful children, Zackery and Jacob McEwen. Sister to Tyler Barnes, his wife Erica, and aunt to their two children, Jackson and Cameron. Daughter to Mae Barnes (nee Tunney) and the late Paul Thrasher. Granddaughter to Julia Thrasher, Stan Thrasher, the late Dora Mae Tunney and the late Charles Fredrick Tunney. Julia is survived by her aunts Linda Tunney, Kelly Tunney, and Lisa Hunking, and her uncle Charles Tunney. Julia will be remembered by her many cousins and loving friends.
The funeral service will be held at the McMillan & Jack Funeral Home, Dundalk on Thursday, June 29th, 2023 at 11 a.m., with a luncheon following at the Dundalk Legion. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to either the Markdale Food Bank or the Canadian Cancer Society.
