It is with great sadness the family of Joan Viola Carney (Hopkinson) announces her passing at Rockwood Terrace on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at the age of 89. She was the wife of the late Alan Carney (2015).
She is survived by her children Douglas, Steven (Sylvia), Jo-Anne (Allan), Charlie (Joan), Jennine (Gary), Alan (Julie), Patrick (Jessie) and Jason (Melody), 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, sister Darlene and brother Ken. Besides her husband she was predeceased by her son Shawn, grandson Steven Perry and granddaughter Melanie Schildt.
A private family service will be held at the McMillan & Jack Funeral Home, 291 Main Street East, Dundalk. Interment at Dundalk Maple Grove Cemetery. If desired, donations to Grey Bruce Animal Shelter would be appreciated.
