Passed away at her home in Tottenham on Sunday, August 6, 2023 in her 73rd year.
Donna was predeceased by David Bessey, her husband of 50 years.
Donna loved her two sons, Garett Bessey (Karen McLeod) of Stratford, Ontario, and Jeremy (Cheryl) Bessey of Muskoka Lakes, Ontario. Donna was immensely proud of her grandchildren Declan, Emma, and Oakley.
Donna grew up on her parent's (Donald and Margaret Ismond) farm outside of Erin, Ontario. Growing up on the farm with her brother Brian Ismond, she developed her love for country life.
With a perpetual smile and a sparkle in her eye, Donna was unlike anyone you have ever met. Dancing and singing through the day, you never knew what kind of adventure you were on with her. Never shy, Donna could quickly adapt to any social situation and quite often take it over.
Over the years Donna “adopted” many sons, daughters, sisters, and brothers. Being there as someone to lean on in times of trouble. She was always up for a phone call or a visit.
Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Frank MacIntyre Building on Sunday, September 24, 2023 from 2-4 p.m.
