Obituary for Donald Stuart "Dan" Carson
CARSON, Donald Stuart
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Dan in his home, on December 30, 2020 at the age of 77.
Beloved spouse and best friend of Darlene Kilgour. Cherished and much loved Father of Shone Carson and her spouse Paula Tite, Stephanie Jeffery and her husband Doug. Step father of Kyle Kilgour and his wife Jackie, Iain Kilgour and his wife Andria. Proud Grandfather of Meagan Forget and her husband Chris, Nick Bull and his fiancé Erie, and Carson Hiltz. Grandfather in law to Heather Larson, Conner Jeffery, Julia Moor and Deklan Denboer. Step grandfather to Dominic and Emma Kilgour. Great grandpa to Hannah, Emma and Olivia Forget.
Brother to Vickie Bell (Steve), Gail Goheen (Fred), Leslie Murphy (Mike), Laurie McKenzie (Murray), Mike Carson (Heather) and Glenda Carson. Uncle to Steven, Fred, Michael, the late Colleen Mackenzie, Jenn, Shane, Kyle, Kelly and Leah.
Dan will be remembered as always being the life of the party. He had a very inviting personality that everybody loved. He always had a story to tell and a hug to give (the very best hugs). He told it like it was. He was a straight shooter. When his grandkids were growing up, he taught them to live their lives to the fullest, to never let anyone get them down, that everybody was a somebody, and that everyone deserved a fair chance. He taught the most valuable lessons. He loved all things outdoors; fishing, hunting, his tractor and his snowplow. He loved woodworking, carving, dancing and laughing. And most of all, he loved his family. We are going to miss him dearly.
In keeping with Dan's wishes, cremation has taken place, with a private family service following at a later date.
