Obituary for Carol Wedde (Mills)

WEDDE- At the age of 78, Caroline Annette Alice (Mills) Wedde passed away suddenly on April 23, 2021 at Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound, Ontario. Carol will be sadly missed by her loving Husband of 56 years, Fred Wedde. As well as her sister Sharon (Ted), and her four children: Shon (Willow) of Bozeman, Montana, Dean (Janet) of Priceville, Ontario, Michele (Paul) of Eugenia, Ontario, and Kimberly (Bill) of Markdale, Ontario. Carol was a loving grandmother to her ten grandchildren: Amy (Warren), Jamie, Justin (Brian), Johnathan, Chantelle, Micheal, Kara, Sarah, Kate, Emily, and two great-grandchildren: Paige and Brie. Carol is predeceased by her parents Roy and Sadie Mills of Dundalk, her brother Archie, and sisters Elva and Phyilas. Carol was born in Melancthon Township and lived the rest of her life on the West Back Line in Dundalk. As a teenager she waitressed at the local restaurant “Jenny’s Country Restaurant” and then started working at Trim Trends before changing careers to cake decorating, and her true passion of child care. Carol was known for her kindness, compassion and ability to see the good in every person she encountered. Not only was she a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, but she was a special nanny to many of the children she babysat over the years. She adored every one of the children she was able to care for and loved them as if they were her own. She will be fondly remembered by all of the young hearts that she had the pleasure of shaping and will be deeply missed.
Due to the Covid restrictions, a private family service will be held. Interment at Badjeros South Line Cemetery. If desired, donations in Carol’s memory may be made to a charity of your choice.
