Obituary for Bertina Ann Teare

Teare, Bertina Ann – September 18, 1953 – December 31, 2020

Heaven got a little kinder and gentler on New Year’s Eve, as it is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our loving sister, aunt and friend. In Dundalk, Ontario, Tina peacefully went home to be with the Lord at the age of 67 as a result of natural causes.

Tina was born in Calgary Alberta, she spent most of her earlier years growing up with her many siblings and developing lifetime friendships on the way. She graduated from Forest Lawn High School in 1971, and further pursued her education by attending SAIT where she graduated in Computer Technology in 1973. Tina began her career at Seiscom Delta, where she was one of the first women in her field. Her expertise took her across the seas to Jakarta, Indonesia where, as an international subject matter expert, she trained others in her field and discovered her love of travel. Tina returned to Canada and transferred to Ontario in 1997 with Armstrong Moving where she flourished for the remainder of her career as a leader in complex industry logistics.

Beyond her professional accomplishments, Tina will be remembered for her kind and generous heart, her love of family and friends and her endless giving spirit. She was expansive in her willingness to give to others, spending many years volunteering for the MS walk, and coaching young girls in little league baseball. The middle child of eleven siblings, Tina grew up cheering for everyone. A fan forever, always supporting the 'hometown team'. She was the family cheerleader, the one who spread family news and celebrated milestones with enthusiastic passion. She followed her nieces and nephews and boasted of their accomplishments. This was her hobby - encouraging, enhancing and elevating family and friends. Two thousand miles from home and family, beat a flawless unselfish heart, that never uttered an unkind word. Put simply, she was the wind beneath all our wings.

Tina will be greatly missed by her siblings, Donna Ekstrom, Tom (Karen) Teare, Clarene (Ken) Hildebrandt, Tony (Jennifer) Teare, Gary Teare, Don (Wendy) Teare, Laura (Russ) Strilchuk, Patty Teare, and her sister-in-law’s Chris Teare & Karen Guider. Tina will also be forever remembered by her numerous nieces and nephews, extended family and dear friends. Tina was predeceased by her parents, Clarence and Arlene and her brothers Lyle and Rick Teare.
